Today, Year 2 learnt about what is happening in the news. We found out about the volcano in Iceland that is likely to erupt so people have been evacuated from their homes. We talked about magma and lava and knew lots about earthquakes. We discussed how we would feel if we were living in this area and how we would feel if we had to leave our homes and be unsure about what was going to happen. Here are some of our thoughts;
‘I wouldn’t like to leave my family’
‘It would be dangerous and I’d be scared’
‘The volcano could erupt anytime and you wouldn’t know when it was going to happen’
‘ I would want to go back home for all my things’
